Archie’s sire and dam are similarly patterned, exceptional and rare pinto-colored part Accoyos.

Archie’s dam, Cassandra is endowed with intense, greasy luster, which Elar typically passes to descendants throughout future generations.  Quite honestly, however, we believe the super slick, cool handle of Cassandra’s fiber was greatly influenced by her full Bolivian dam, a producer of award winning progeny with fiber so slippery, it appears to have been coated with lacquer!  In 2002, Cassandra was reportedly the most lustrous cria born at Ameripaca (farm of 300+ alpacas at the time), and she has consistently passed the supreme luster to each of her offspring.

Archie’s sire, Moses – 5 time Color Champion (…won in every show he was entered!) – is a strikingly handsome Baron/Ramillo cross.  He possesses the best suri traits one readily expects from his pedigree:  Eye-catching presence …perfectly proportioned conformation …large-boned, powerful stature …glistening, slippery strands from head to toe of independently-locked, uniform fine fiber.  (We recall personally observing in awe the youthful Moses’ alluring appeal in the show ring, where discriminating judges such as Julio Sumar touted praises of Moses’ extravagance. Even 8 years later, Moses’ irresistible charm turns our heads and raises our pulse! ) Such magnificent masculinity is readily recognized in his son, Archie.
