As one of the youngest in her class, Dee was shown five times in large juvenile halter classes, and she took five First Place ribbons! Dee is sired by Five Star Accoyo Somethin's Up, an outstanding Torbio/Ramilo cross. Dee's dam, Accoyo Rubia, owned by Virginia Lentz of A.I.A. Alpacas (Ohio) has produced prized offspring such as Accoyo Camion, The Admiral's Accoyo Ensign, Five Star's Accoyo Signature of Ace, and Accoyo Sir Baranoff. Accoyo Deanna is the product of Virginia Lentz's breeding program. (In the above photo, Virginia is standing next to Mike Montjoy of Alpaca Trading Post, holding the trophy and ribbons Dee earned at The Futurity -- the most elite of alpaca shows in America. WAY TO GO, VIRGINIA!) Deanna is one of our newest acquisitions. Based solely on the quality in Deanna's lineage, we proudly purchased her from A.I.A. Alpacas "sight unseen", shortly after Dee's birth. However, on her own merit, we are overjoyed by the acquisition of this impeccable suri female. It is our great fortune to add Dee's winning genetics to our foundation herd. (Thank you, Virginia!)
Update November 2009: Dee's first cria, a full Accoyo female named Abracadabra (sired by Kahuna) was born June 13, 2009. Look for Abracadabra in the 2010 shows. Photos of Abracadabra are included below:
