It's exciting to be able to put a male on your farm that represents one of the most highly respected and finely tuned suri breeding programs in the world. We are thrilled beyond words to have the opportunity to add this valuable male to our own breeding program. A descendant of Empresario, Acero Marka's bloodlines, and others from the best of the Bolivian import, Tillman's Hey Dude proudly boasts the favored suri traits inherent in the highest quality suri alpacas of South America and around the world. We are extremely proud of Dude's full Bolivian heritage and the cherished attributes Hey Dude brings to the North American alpaca industry. Dude's lineage includes two of our favorite Tillman suris - Rocky Red and Rewind.
Intregal in the successful, yet treacherous, Bolivian importation of suri alpacas, Andy and Cheryl personally risked their lives to bring to North America colorful suri alpacas from top Bolivian breeders, including Tillman's own alpaca farm partners in South America. Through science and artful selection, Andy and Cheryl Tillman produced a herd suris that many a breeder would nominate as the finest and most highly desirable suri alpacas in the world. The success of the reputable Tillman Ranch is testament to their talents and achievements. We believe Hey Dude is one of their best outcomes!!! It is our honor and privilege to own a part of the Tillman Ranch legacy, and through our association with the Tillman Ranch, to contribute to the advancements of the North American alpaca herd.
On his own merit, Hey Dude has achieved eight blue ribbons and one color championship from his short show career. His fiber is extremely dense, robustly locked, and exhibits nice luster to boot! He has ideal conformation with a solid, square frame with heavy bone and a very strong, muscular, and stocky build. His head is gorgeous with the most astonishingly full beard ever! This male is an amazing total package. Based on Dude's multi-colored pattern and black-as-coal skin, we anticipate Dude's potential to add deep color and unusual color patterns (appaloosa, pinto, fancy) in his offspring. Crias with these rare and eye-catching color patterns seem to have been highly regarded (and potentially quick sellers) among many suri breeders.
